1. Searching for vaccine products

There are two search options; “Simple Search” and “Advanced Search”.

Simple Search

Simple Search searches the following parameters: Vaccine name, Manufacturer, Host(s), Pathogen name(s) and Pathogen type/strain(s).

Searches are not case sensitive.

Advanced Search

Advanced Search offers many more search options.

Up to 6 search parameters can be specified from Vaccine name, Pathogen, Manufacturer and Host.

Note: Vetvac uses Latin bacteria and protazoa names or commonly used English pathogen names.

TIP 1: Try to use predicted search terms as much as possible.

TIP 2: Strain names may be formatted differently in different product profiles, depending on how they have been represented by the manufacturer (e.g. FC 126, FC126 and FC-126). In these instances, it may be best to search for part of a strain name (e.g. FC or 126), perhaps with (“AND”) the pathogen name, or add additional search fields (see above) to search for all possibilities.

2. Search results

Results are returned in a table, and then individual product profiles can be viewed by selecting a vaccine name.
